Chronic Pain Management
With a unique combination of skills as an APA Titled Pain Physiotherapist who has a Masters in Psychotherapy and Pain Management, Gina can offer a truly integrated approach to chronic pain. Gina’s approach considers the delicate interplay between body and mind . When the body/mind connection is out of balance, chaos, rigidity and pain often follow. This can manifest in our bodies, with pain and restriction, or, in our minds, it can affect the way we think, feel and behave. Together the mind and body can affect one another causing an unhealthy downward spiral.
Gina’s approach is to provide a safe nurturing environment which creates the space in which change is possible. Together, you will explore the ‘way in’. This might be through manual therapy, movement, psychotherapy or a combination of all three. The body/mind is an intimately connected system, influenced by the past, present and future. Together, you will aim to find the root cause of your challenge, noting that often a range of physical and emotional factors are at play.
At GK Connect, we deeply value connection and take the time to understand how what is challenging you may be impacting different parts of your life. We will always show you genuine empathy as we work together to find greater lightness and flow in your body and mind.
